Penny Boat Science Lab

The 5th & 6th grade penny boat makers.

Thursday, November 3, 2011

Our first Science Lab of the year was a complete success. The students showed their ingenuity and built boats out of aluminum foil to see what type of boat held the most pennies. They learned, through using the scientific method, that distribution and surface area were the two greatest factors in creating a boat that held the most pennies.  Great job 5th and 6th grade.
